This qualification provides a hands-on introduction to the world of wine. You will explore the main types and styles of wine through sight, smell, and taste, while gaining the basic skills to accurately describe wines and make food pairings.

To provide a simple yet solid introduction to wine. This qualification is designed for those who need to familiarize themselves with the main types and styles of wine made from key grape varieties, as well as the basics of viticulture, winemaking, and the principles of wine storage and service.

Assessment

30 multiple-choice questions.

A minimum passing grade of 70% is required.

Upon successfully completing the exam, you will receive a WSET certificate and digital pin, and you will be entitled to use the associated WSET certified logo.
