Italian Wine Essentials

Descripción

WSG's Italian Wine Essentials presents the world of Italian wine in an accessible and dynamic way. Explore the culture, gastronomy, history, viticulture, and winemaking principles behind Italy's most important and influential wine regions.

Italy is home to over 400 DOC and DOCG appellations; Italian Wine Essentials (IWE) introduces you to 39 of the most renowned. Thirty-two primary appellations are covered in depth, while seven additional appellations are included to round out the program.

Grape varieties, wine profiles, and labeling terms are explored. Each wine is presented within its regional and cultural context. Additionally, iconic landmarks and traditional cuisine are highlighted to enrich the learning experience.
